What is CBG Kief?

CBG Kief 28.52% is a concentrated cannabis product rich in the cannabinoid CBG (cannabigerol), which does not have psychoactive effects. Kief is a fine powder that contains trichomes – small resin glands on cannabis flowers. Trichomes are essential because they contain high concentrations of cannabinoids such as THC and CBD, as well as terpenes that give cannabis its characteristic aroma and effects. Our kief contains CBD 1.91% and THC 0.12%, ensuring its legality and safety.

How is Kief Made?

Kief is made by separating trichomes from cannabis flowers. This is most commonly done using sieves of various sizes, through which dried cannabis is shaken or sifted to separate the fine trichomes from the plant material. Another method is to use dry ice, which freezes the trichomes and makes them easier to separate. The result is a fine powder that can be further processed or used directly.

Uses of CBG Kief CBG kief offers a wide range of uses:

  • Smoking and vaporizing: Adding to joints or vaporizers increases potency and adds the specific effects of CBG.
  • Hash production: Pressing kief into hash form creates a more concentrated product.
  • Edibles: Kief can be added to cookies, candies, or beverages. It needs to be heated (decarboxylated) before consumption to activate the cannabinoids.
  • Infusing oils and butters: Kief can be used to make cannabis oils or butters for culinary or medicinal purposes.
  • Topical applications: Kief can be used to make ointments, creams, or balms for local skin application.

Effects of CBG

CBG (cannabigerol) is one of many cannabinoids in cannabis, gaining increasing attention for its potential health benefits. CBG is known for its anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and neuroprotective properties. Research suggests its effectiveness in treating inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and its ability to reduce intraocular pressure, which is crucial for patients with glaucoma. Its potential in fighting certain forms of cancer is also being studied, showing the ability to inhibit the growth of cancer cells. CBG also supports neurogenesis, which can positively affect the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington's disease.

Unlike more well-known cannabinoids such as THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol), CBG is not psychoactive, meaning it does not cause a "high" effect. Instead, it is valued for its therapeutic effects, including anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antibacterial properties.
